Can’t wait for summer!

I’m starting to feel the scorching heat of the sun.  Summer is fast approaching! The truth is, I’ve been itching to go to the beach since last week. I miss basking under the sun. Island-hopping. Snorkeling. Drinking fruitshakes. Strolling around the beach barefoot. The white sand. The summer breeze. Ah, I can’t wait for summer! The excitement is killing me! LOL.

Where should we go this summer? I heard about beach vacation rentals. I think it’s fun to have that little privacy with your family at the beach once in a while.

What do you think?

Skiing vs Snowboarding

I love seeing snow. One of my childhood dreams is to play in the snow during winter season. But there’s no winter in the Philippines, so I know that that dream will not come true unless I go to a country where there’s winter season.

I’ve only seen snow in the movies. Pathetic, right? I hope someday I could go skiing or snowboarding with my husband and two angels. But wait, which should we try first? Skiing or snowboarding? Which one is better? I heard snowboarding is a lot easier on the knees compared to skiing. Knee injuries are not common. However, snowboarding can be a lot more brutal on the wrists so you have to make sure you wear some wrist guards.

Hmmm…Maybe I’ll just cross the bridge when I get there. Ski vacations are expensive anyway so I won’t be doing either of them in the near future. LOL.

LED TV

A friend of mine told me she bought an LED TV yesterday. I laughed at her. I thought what she meant was LCD. She glared at me and said, “Hello! You haven’t heard of it?”
I said no and asked her what an LED TV was. She couldn’t believe my ignorance! LOL. She said it’s a type of an LCD TV that uses LED backlighting rather than fluorescent lights used in traditional LCD televisions.

“Oh, how fabulous!” was all I managed to say. LOL.

Paranoia

When Greggy had his very first nanny at one year and two months old, I thought of installing  hidden cameras all over the house. And if I were rich, I would install full home security systems just like what I saw in the movies. I was so paranoid and reluctant to entrust my little boy to someone else. But I didn’t have a choice. I had to go back to work.

I prayed for a caring and kindhearted nanny who would take care of my little boy as her own flesh and blood. By God’s grace, we found one. But she left two years later to build a family of her own. I cried when she left coz I knew how much she loved my son.

But we had to let her go…

Uh-oh!

My computer at home has only 1GB of RAM and 80GB hard drive. And I wish I had invested more on my system memory because soon enough, my computer won’t be able to accommodate all the files I have – my downloaded Smallville and Prison Break episodes, movies, mp3s, other video clips, my personal and work-related documents and the like.

Computer parts are expensive. That’s why I opted to purchase whatever I have on my computer now. Not a very smart move huh?

The grocery store near our office still doesn’t have a barcode scanner until now. I hope they would soon realize the importance of that device to the consumers. As we all know, cashiers are more prone to committing mistakes if they just enter the item number manually. I once paid for a pack of 10-piece siopao when in fact, it’s just a pack of four.
Anyway, for those people who own a grocery store, please invest on barcode scanners.*sigh*

Living room renovation

My husband and I are thinking of changing the tiles in our living room, so we’re looking for some new designs online. The tiles in our living room were pretty old and out-of-style. They were already there when we bought the house five years ago, so we didn’t get the chance to choose the style we wanted. It wasn’t our priority at that time anyway.

Once we find the design we want, we’ll start the construction right away.

Liposuction

My friend, Sandy, has been overweight all her life. She’s thinking of undergoing liposuction. But since she’s afraid of needles, she’s having second thoughts. I told her to try taking diet pills instead. But after reading some phentermine reviews online, she got scared and decided that she’d rather have faster results by undergoing liposuction.

So I told her, “Go, girl. It’s time to overcome your fear!” LOL.

Fat burners

I was reading fat burner reviews online a while ago and came across a website saying that 94% of the fat burners available in the market don’t work. Now ain’t that interesting, huh?

I haven’t tried any fat burners before coz I’m afraid of side effects. But if I find something that can detoxify our body, suppress our appetite and help eliminate acne — then I’m all for it! :-)

I think I need to look for the best weight loss diet pills.

I put on a lot of weight on my second pregnancy and I plan on losing twice as much before I go back to work in March. Although we have a treadmill and an ab swing at home, I doubt if I could lose weight that quickly.

Oh God! I think I need a miracle. LOL. Wish me luck. ;-)
